IN THIS LESSON
The above video shows you how to export your images for printing.
Your photos can be printed any size for print competitions. For club competitions the mount board can be any size up to 500 mm x 400mm For external battles and competitions, the mounts must be 500mm x 400mm See Paper spectrum for information on colours and prices. You can get your prints professionally mounted at local art shops but be sure to order well in advance as it might take a week or so.
Also pay particular attention to the size you print your image if you normally favour 16:9 then 32: 18 would be a better print size. Personally although it works well on the club projector and for a projected image competition it does not look a good size one printed and mounted. If in doubt mock up the size on the back of the mount card or backing board and check you like the size the image is going to be. This is the image that you need to export.
When you send your image to the printing company you will need to add a boarder around your image or you will take off some of your image itself when you mount it. People like Loxley will allow you to add boarders to your image when you ask for prints and 1cm boarders should be sufficient. Alternatively you could reduce the size of your image in photoshop and add a boarder that way and there are tutorials on youtube that you can find showing you how to do so.
Once you have exported your file then and sent to the print workshop or printed at home then you need to also add a digital copy to PhotoEntry. The digital copy you chose should be the unproofed copy not the proofed one which was re-edited for the paper choice.
