Waterscapes - a talk by Jonathan Genevaux

Last night we enjoyed an action-packed evening with Jonathan Genevaux speaking about Waterscapes. Born and brought up in France on the Atlantic west coast, Jonathan’s early life was intrinsically linked to the ocean and local waterways.  He talked about all aspects of waterscape photography from preparation at home to managing a successful shoot on location.

Planning for locations includes evaluating the weather forecast, wind speed and direction, tides and sunset/sunrise times and angles. Jonathan explained long exposure photography illustrated with some great examples of his work.

We enjoyed seeing some of Jonathan’s beautifully executed waterscape images taken in France and all over the British Isles in all weathers, sea conditions and seasons.
