More Lightroom Magic

Last night the Photgraphy Club were given a presentation by Dave Gray, our secretary, on the subject of Adobe Lightroom Classic.

The evening was aimed at ‘how to improve the appearance of our images’, and ‘how to organise images so we can find them again’. In the former, Dave discussed the LRC Basics panel, and how to make the best use of it including the use of AI, giving us demonstrations of images before and after processing. The second half of his talk was about storage of images in folders and collections, and the use of hard drives and the need to have back-ups.

I am sure our images will be full of sparkle and glow after the wealth of information we learnt last night!

Dave suggested a book by Victoria Bampton The Lightroom Queen with her very informative website..

A very good instructional youtube about light room can be found here if you want to know a bit more on the sbubject, the first sections deal with the categories that Dave discussed last night and the video then follows up with more in-depth information on the general working of lightroom.

Attached is Dave’s presentation which has been added to to the members resource area under guides. GC.

Next week, the Club will have its Annual Close-up, Macro and Creative competition, judged by Simon Caplin LRPS.
