Macro - Small is Beautiful

Not all Club evenings go as planned, Tim Jones MA from Fotospeed was due to give us a talk but had to with draw at the last minute.

Having a professional photographer in the club has a number of advantages for us. In steps Robert Harvey BA ARPS, EFIAP CSci CEnv MCIWEM, to give his excellent talk ‘Small is Beautiful’ on Macro Photography.

Robert’s talk took us through equipment, compostion, focus, and finding our subject. Together with his knowledge of locations, he presented beautiful images of beetles, butterflies, invertibrates and fungi. All the more relevant to our members, is that most of Robert’s images were taken in Wiltshire or nearby. With Spring not sure if it’s going to happen, summer will be upon us soon and there will be no end of opportunities to practice what we have learned this evening.
