Starting from Raw

Last night we had the pleasure of welcoming Iñaki Hernández-Lasa FRPS, FIPF, AFIAP back to Devizes Photography club by zoom from Ireland with his presentation ‘Starting From Raw”. Iñaki talked us through his methods, settings, equipment and his detailed process for his shoots.

He showed us some of his stunning architectural images both literal and abstract, taken in and around some of the finest modern buildings in Europe.

After the break Iñaki showed us his processing workflow and how he transforms a fairly flat looking image into something much more dynamic and colourful, straighens up the verticals and polishes his images to perfection with some tweaks aof the sliders in Lightroom and Laterally in Photoshop.

All in all a very enjoyable and informative evening.

Iñaki has served as a member of the Distinctions Committee of the Royal Photographic Society and currently serves as an assessor in the Visual Art panel for Associate and Fellowship distinctions.
