A Passion for Wildlife

Last night we welcomed Kevin Pigney ARPS, DPAGB, ASINWP with his presentation ‘Passion for Wildlife”.

Kevin’s favourite subjects are hares and foxes taken locally near his home in East Anglia. He Shoots to produce a clean background to his images using a fairly narrow depth of field and he explained how he achieves this. Kevin showed a wonderful collection of owl images as well as many other British birds, deer, squirrels, and sea birds.

He discussed some of the techniques he uses in his photography and post processing including high-key and low-key images.

I’m certain that Kevin’s talk will have inspired our wildlife photographers to get their kit together and get out in the field or a hide this week and maybe even lit a spark in a few non-wildlife photographers to think again about this fascinating genre. BC
