West Woods is the ideal location for learning ICM if you have not done this before. It is also a great time of year to practice before coming back to do ICM’s of the blue bells in spring. Help will be on hand with camera settings. Best to have an empty capture card and full battery with a spare because you will be taking a number of images. You could also have a go at taking some double exposures. If you have filters having a 3 or 6 stop filter could reduce the glare but it is not critical because you can just look for darker areas of woodland.
There are no toilets or cafe at the woods although there is a pub in Lockeridge village which is not far to either walk or drive.
Please make sure you pay attention to the location for the car park as several people got a little lost last year. The what3words is ///helping.tickets.chaos
