Jane Austen - Bath
Bath on Saturday 9th September 2023 welcomed back the Georgian Era with people traveling from as far as America and Australia to join in the celebration of Jane Austen and her books dressing in period costumes. Saturday started with a great parade with the initial meeting point at the Holburne Museum. Members of the Special Interest Group decided to hone their photography skills with portrait and street photography.
Many of the costumes had been made by the people who wore them and in temperatures of 30 degrees many were extremely hot but proud to show off their outfits. After the parade members of the club then met for a welcome drink at a cafe.
