Christmas Knockout Competition

Last's night's full house enjoyed a spectacular final meeting of 2023!

Our compère for the evening Santa, aka Frank Collins, did a brilliant job of counting hands as the members voted in the Christmas Knock-Out fun competition. The competition was won by new member Jenny Thorpe with a well seen monochrome street scene taken in Italy. Caroline Wright came second with a beautifully serene image of the Pewsey Vale, our chairman, David Wilkinson’s image of a group of moody Highland cattle was voted into 3rd place and his dynamic image of his new pup Millie flying across the sky (well, she is a Spaniel after all and her ears clearly turn into wings) was voted into 4th place.

Our treasurer Barbara decided that as we have all been good peeps this year we must be rewarded with a free raffle so a table laden with goodies was distributed to the winning tickets. Thank you Barbara, that was a lovely idea.

Caroline performed her usual magic and produced a wonderful spread of food, Barbara made a delicious fruit punch to warm the cockles of our hearts, Alan’s wife making lots of tasty mince pies and a good long social time was had by all.

May I take this opportunity of wishing all our members and their families a very merry Christmas and a happy, peaceful, healthy and photographically productive new year.

We meet again on Tuesday 2nd January 2024 for the Projected Image League. This meeting will be held ON ZOOM ONLY. There will be no meeting in the clubhouse that night. BC
