Bushy Park

A group of 6  DPC photographers met in the sports club car park at 4am on Saturday for an early and slightly chilly departure to Bushy park . We parked in the Hampton Court station car park as Google said that  vehicular access to the park was closed until 7am and made the short walk into the park. Although it was still dark a mist was rising and we could already hear the stags bellowing. So with perfect conditions as dawn approached, dappled light and mist, we found the first stags close to the ponds. Along with about another 50 photographers we were able to find and photograph the many stags in the area. By 9am the park was very busy with people including approximately 500 doing a park run  and the stags went quiet and laid down, so we reconvened in the local cafe for a bacon roll and a hot drink, before beginning the drive back to Devizes and processing the many hundred images taken. I think that all those that went on the trip would agree that we  had a successful day. CW
